Elkhart Fireworks have been rescheduled and will happen in downtown Elkhart, Indiana, on July 18th, at Civic Plaza, on the central green.

Time

The Independence Day fireworks were postponed but are now rescheduled for Saturday, July 18th, 2026. The event will begin at 5pm, with fireworks happening once it's dark.

4th of July Show

To watch the fireworks, people will be sitting in the grassy area in front of the stage, near Civic Plaza, called Central Green. Some people also find local restaurants with rooftop seating, to watch the fireworks.

Downtown Elkhart Parking

There is a public parking lot right next to the stage and field. Parking is limited, so you might have to find a street parking spot nearby. The lower lot next to civic plaza is sometimes closed for large events.

Things to do in Elkhart Indiana

If you are looking for something to do with kids, this event will also have food trucks and live music, in downtown Elkhart. The kids will have room to run around and play in the grassy area of the central green lawn. Watch for goose poop, though.
