Acid dye

A dye type used on animal fibers like wool or silk. Requires heat and acid to set.

When people want to dye their own wool yarn, they do that with something called acid dye.

It's super fun because the colors in wool are quite vibrant, especially the colors made by Dharma Trading Company that are labeled fluorescent. They do feel like they glow.
