The orange clamp connectors in the photo are Wago lever connectors, which are used to join RV ceiling wires during a rooftop air conditioner removal or installation. They keep the copper covered, prevent shorts, and make it easy to reconnect the new AC unit without cutting or twisting wires. In the photo, you can see two groups of ceiling wires hanging down through the opening where a rooftop air conditioner is being replaced. The clear plastic pieces with orange clamps are Wago 221 lever connectors. These are reusable electrical connectors that hold stripped wires securely in place without twisting them together. Wago connectors are common in RVs because they make it easy for technicians to disconnect the old AC unit and reconnect the new one. You flip the orange lever up, insert the stripped wire, and close the lever to lock it. This keeps the copper protected and prevents the wires from touching metal framing or each other while the AC is removed. How do you install a plenum mounting bracket? To install the plenum mounting bracket, align the M8 bolts with washers and metal clamping bars through the four corner holes. Push the bracket upward into the square roof opening and tighten the bolts evenly until the bracket is secure and fully seated. Securing the Plenum Mounting Bracket Overlap the M8 bolts (#7) with washers (#9) and metal clamping bars (#8), inserting them through the four corner holes of the plenum mounting bracket. From inside the RV, push the bracket upward so it fits securely into the square roof opening. Start tightening the bolts by hand to prevent cross-threading. Use a torque wrench to tighten the M8 bolts evenly to 7 N·m, ensuring the plenum bracket connects firmly with the outdoor unit. Her booth at Rebel Art Fest drew steady attention from visitors. At the 2025 Rebel Art Fest in South Bend’s Potawatomi Park, I came across one of the most striking displays of the afternoon. Sculptor Rhonda Whitledge filled her booth with detailed, handmade fantasy creatures, each one with its own distinct expression, posture, and personality. The figures had a cinematic quality, like a glimpse into a fairytale world that existed just beyond sight. Some resembled the figure of a nose, which I found to be delightful. People stopped often, taking time to study the details and talk with her about the characters. Rhonda was warm, and happy to share about her process, and it was clear that each piece was carefully crafted. Inside the RV, locate the power cord and connect the active, neutral, and ground wires securely to prevent loose connections or shorts. Electrical Connections (non-ducted) The installer is responsible for following all local wiring regulations when connecting the air conditioner to the main power supply. The unit must be connected to a dedicated circuit that can be isolated and has sufficient electrical capacity for safe operation. From inside the RV, look upward to locate the air conditioner’s power cord. Connect the external power lines, making sure to match the active, neutral, and ground terminals correctly. The A3501 and A3800 models do not include a terminal block, while other models use a 3-pole terminal block as shown in the diagram. Once all connections are made, tighten the screws firmly to eliminate loose wiring.Improper or unsecured connections can cause overheating, short circuits, or fire. Fabric paint needs to dry fully and then be heat set to bond to the fibers. Let the paint dry, then cure it with a dryer, iron, or heat press following the temperature guidelines for the paint. How to set fabric paint Fabric paint is usually set by letting it dry completely and then applying heat, which bonds the pigments to the fibers. You can heat set it with a clothes dryer, an iron, or a heat press depending on the fabric and the paint instructions. Let the fabric paint dry fully I mixed Lumiere metallic fabric paint with another Jacquard color to get the grey dots on the yellow sweatshirt. After applying the paint, I let it air dry until the surface was fully dry and no areas felt cool. Most fabric paints need complete drying before heat setting so the binder can attach to the fibers. Use heat to set the paint After the paint dried, I set it in the home dryer. Medium to high heat for 20 to 30 minutes is enough to cure most textile paints on cotton and other natural fabrics. The dryer works well for metallic or layered paints because there is no direct contact with the surface. Other ways to heat set fabric paint You can also use an iron by placing a pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric and keeping the iron moving. A heat press works too if you follow the temperature guidelines listed on the paint label. Aftercare Once the paint is heat set, it becomes flexible and washable. How do you attach an outlet air duct on an RV air conditioner? Attach the outlet air duct to the base of the outdoor RV air conditioner from inside the vehicle using four truss head screws. Make sure the duct is positioned with the correct side facing down and that the markings for direction are aligned before tightening the screws. Installing the Outlet Air Duct Cut the four cable ties and position the outlet air duct at the base of the outdoor unit. The duct must be installed from inside the RV using four truss head screws (#10). Align the duct so the up, down, left, and right markings face the correct directions. The side labeled “this face down” should rest against the bottom of the air conditioner. Do not force or twist the duct once aligned. There is only one correct orientation that allows the mounting holes to line up evenly. Tighten the screws until snug to create a secure connection between the duct and the air conditioner base. When I was at the Tinley Park Reptile Expo, my eye was drawn to the Sundown Reptiles table right away because of the orchids. I’d never seen that variety in bloom before, and it stood out among the typical displays. The reptiles were housed in beautifully designed enclosures, clearly prepared with care. This vendor came across as professional and seasoned, with a setup that was both visually engaging and educational.
